A 17 year old boy is in custody facing charges of attempted murder following a stabbing at a school in Sheffield. Officers from South Yorkshire Police were called to Birley Academy at around 8:50am on Wednesday 1st May 2024.
Two adults suffered minor injuries, one of which may have been caused by broken glass. A child was also assaulted during the incident, however none of the victims suffered serious injuries. The victims were checked by paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service and none required hospital treatment.
