A 13 year old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded into custody following multiple stabbings at a school in Wales. The incident occurred on Wednesday 24th April 2024 at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman (Amman Valley School) in Ammanford, Camarthernshire. At around 11:20am, the girl allegedly stabbed two teachers and another pupil.
Following this, the school went into lockdown for about four hours, while the victims were taken to hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries. The girl’s first court appearance was at Llanelli Magistrates Court on Friday 26th April 2024. She was then remanded into youth detention accommodation.
She is currently charged with:
- Attempted Murder (x3)
- Possession of a bladed article on school premesis
