Man on run two years after attempted kidnap of 5 year old

Tadas Kuslevicius, a man who attempted to kidnap a five-year-old girl from an Asda supermarket in Deeside, North Wales, is on the run and listed as one of the UK’s most wanted criminals.

Kuslevicius was jailed in 2021 for the attempted kidnapping but went on the run after failing to comply with post-custody supervision requirements.

The incident involved Kuslevicius taking the child’s hand in the Queensferry branch of Asda, and briefly leading her away before she ran back to her mother; he claimed he had no intention of taking her away from the store.

He was released after serving a 10 week prison sentence but broke the rules of his release. A warrant for his arrest was issued in 2022, and he is believed to have connections to Deeside and Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.

Authorities are seeking information on his whereabouts, urging anyone with information to contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
