A man has been arrested and remains in custody on suspicion of attempted murder following a police officer in Greater Manchester being run over.
The officer was struck by a car on Sunday evening (5 May) at around 10:10pm on Beech Road, Sale.
The officer was “in and out of consciousness” and also suffered a broken ankle.
So far, two men remain in custody. A 32 year old man accused of attempted murder, and a 30 year old man is also being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.
