Man jailed after killing two women in high speed crash in Cheshire

A man has been jailed after killing two women in a high-speed collision.

31 year old Benjamin Lewis was travelling at speeds up to 93 mph in a 60mph zone when the crash occurred at around 9:30pm on 25th November 2021 on the A5117 near Dunkirk, Cheshire.

The crash sadly killed Ellie Crossley and Rebecca Doughty, both 20, as they returned from Christmas shopping at the Cheshire Oaks Retail Park.

Benjamin Lewis, of Foxglove Avenue, Sandbach, pleaded guilty to:

Causing death by dangerous driving (x2)

Sentence:

10 years in prison
Four year driving ban on release from prison
